International Midwifery Day is one of the work programs of the ARMABI External Relations Department. This event is held to commemorate International Midwife Day which falls on May 5 with another aim is to improve friendship between S1, S2, and civitas academica students of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Brawijaya, and also midwifery institution in Malang. The International Events of Midwifery is organized on the Opening Ceremony of Badminton Competition and Main Event.
The Opening Ceremony of Badminton Competition is part of a series of International Events of Midwifery held on 1 May 2017 at Rajabasa Square Jl.Rajabasa, Sukun. The event was enlivened by holding a Badminton match between Students of class of 2014, 2015, 2016, Poltekes Dr Supraoen, Stikes Maharani, Poltekes Kemenkes Malang and Civitas Akademika S1 Midwifery FKUB. Badminton is a series of activities to commemorate IMD 2017 (International Midwifery Day). One of the objectives of this event in addition to commemorate IMD 2017 is to develop interest and talent of students and academic community in the field of sports, in addition to foster a sense of togetherness between the academic civitas S1 midwifery FKUB and institutions Kebidanan in Malang. The event was attended by Students 2014, 2015, 2016 and Poltekes Dr Supraoen, Stikes Maharani, Poltekes Kemenkes Malang and civitas Akademika.
Badminton match is organized on Single and Double matches. Participants of the match are representatives of each class from Force 2014, 2015, 2016, Poltekes Dr Supraoen, Stikes Maharani, and Civitas Akademika. The composition of this event begins with the Opening of the Badminton Competition symbolically then followed by Badminton Match. The game is held in 3 rounds, namely Single and Double preliminary round, Single and Double Semifinals, and Single and Double Final Round. This match looks talent, cohesiveness and teamwork every badminton match contestant. The event ended with the Closing of Badminton Competition. Hopefully the Main Event will be held on May 27, 2017 also next year’s event can run well with more lively celebrations.
